Welcome to Our Community of Faith

We’re a vibrant, caring community of faith learning how to follow Jesus together in our modern world.

We are glad you’re here!

We gather (most) Sunday mornings for a music-filled, light-hearted time of worship and friendship. Our services are offered at 10am, both in person and over zoom. Whether you are coming to church for the first time, or are a long-time church attendee, we know you’ll find something you love in our services.

About Us

Our in-person services begin at 10am at 6046 Old Church Road. They last for about an hour, and are followed by a time of coffee/juice and treats. A great time to meet new people, or connect with old friends.

Our staff team, Rev. Heather, Jen (music director) and Grace (church administrator) would be happy to meet you and answer any of your CEUC questions.

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens at a Sunday service?

Every church is a little bit different! At CEUC we love music, so our services are full of music and singing. Our minister, Rev. Heather leads the casual service which includes an interactive time for all ages, a reading from the Bible, a short message on how to apply this message to our lives today and a time of prayer.

About once a month we celebrate communion, and everyone is invited to come forward and share in the juice and the bread, but you’re also welcome to stay in your seat if you’d like.

The service is easy to follow, and everything you need is projected on the screen at the front. There is a printed bulletin as well if you’d like to use it to follow along. Our services last about 60 minutes and are followed by a time of coffee and treats.

What about my kids?

We love our CEUC kids! Our minister Rev. Heather worked in Children’s Ministry for 10 years before becoming an ordained minister and we welcome kids into all aspects of our worship service.

Kids begin the service with their adults as we sing, pray and worship together. Following an interactive time for all-ages, kids are welcome to remain in the sanctuary for the sermon, or head to a special kids time called Godly Play. In Godly Play, they will explore a Bible story together, including crafts and activities before rejoining the main service for the closing song and blessing.

What do I need to wear, where do I park? Are you accessible?

Clothes. In the parking lot. Yes.

There are a lot of practical questions when you’re coming to a church for the first time.

We are a casual congregation, so dress to be comfortable. For special services, such as Christmas, Easter or Baptisms people may dress up a bit more, but it is not required. On an average summer Sunday you may even see a Hawaiian shirt or two!

There is a parking lot at the church. If it is full, you are welcome to park on the grassy area or on the side street next to the church. Parking is seldomly an issue, but arriving a few minutes early assures a “good” spot.

Yes, the church is accessible. We have 3 mobility marking spots near the parking lot door, and once you’ve entered through the parking lot doors, the church is all one-level, with a large all-gender accessible washroom.

Is Sunday all you do?

Nope! Although Sunday is a focus of our church community, we also offer other ways to connect with each other, and with your faith. All are welcome to join at any of our events:

Free Community Breakfast – 1st Saturday of the month, from 8:30am – 10:30am
Free Community Movie Night – 3rd Friday of the month, starting at 7:00pm

We also have special events including our summer trunk/vendor sale, Christmas Market, and our famous bake sales. All of the details for upcoming events are on our the events page – check it out!
